The process of flow calibration in G2M2® involves identifying the G2M2® model zone whose flow can be represented by the nomination data reported by Criterion Research.

We identified those zones whose parameters could be adjusted in order to improve the calibration of the flow on the reference zone. We called these ‘flow zones.’ By adjusting the Full Discount Quantity (FDQ), Zero Discount Quantity (ZDQ), and Negative Discount Quantity (NDQ) parameters on the flow zones, we can make it more or less expensive to move gas through the reference zone. For example, if flow on the reference zone is too low during a calibration run we want to make it less expensive to get to and through the zone, so we adjust the zone parameters on the flow zones and re-run the calibration.
