NDQ or Negative Discount Quantity

NDQ or Negative Discount Quantity is transport that is negatively discounted or at a “premium” to allow for price blow-outs. This is shown in G2M2® as a percentage. This percentage is when the Max rate begins to go up the “hockey stick” portion of the Transportation Curve.

For example,

  • if the NDQ = 95%, then the transportation max rate will begin to go above the Max Rate when demand for that transportation is at 95% of capacity for that zone.

This is also associated with an NDQ Mult or Multiplier which notes how many times the max rate is multiplied to get the top rate. This is currently set at 3 or 3 times the max rate for all pipeline zones in G2M2®.

For example,

  • if the Max rate = $0.30 then the top rate would be the NDQ mult of “3” times that or 3 x $0.30 = $0.90.
