Transportation service that is not subject to a prior claim by another customer or class of service. It is offered to customers (shippers) under tariff authority and associated contracts. Primary firm transportation has a higher priority than secondary firm or interruptible transportation. This level of service requires payment of both a commodity charge (based on the volume/quantity actually transported) and a reservation charge to reserve pipeline capacity.
